At Irish Livestream, we're always looking for new ways to help people feel closer to the moments that matter.

Alongside our standard video recordings, we now produce immersive 360° videos that allow you to look around freely and experience an event from the viewpoint of your choice. Whether you're watching a church service, funeral, concert or community event, 360° video lets you take in the surroundings in a way that traditional video simply can't.

Creating these immersive recordings requires specialist equipment, powerful computers and many hours of editing. Rather than passing those additional costs on to families or event organisers, we've chosen a different approach.

By becoming a member, you're helping to support the production of future 360° recordings while allowing our standard videos to remain freely available for everyone to enjoy.

What is 360° Video?

A 360° video allows you to choose what you want to see.

Unlike a traditional recording, where the camera operator decides what appears on screen, a 360° video lets you look around naturally. Simply drag the video with your finger or mouse, or move your phone or tablet to explore the scene from every angle.

Whether you want to watch the service, look around the church, see who attended, or simply take in the atmosphere, you're in complete control of the view.

On compatible VR headsets, the experience becomes even more immersive, making you feel as though you're actually there.

No special equipment is required. You can enjoy 360° videos on your phone, tablet, computer or Smart TV, with a VR headset being entirely optional.

Why Do We Charge for 360° Videos?

Creating an immersive 360° video is far more complex than producing a standard recording.

Every 360° production requires specialist cameras, powerful computers, advanced editing software, and many additional hours of processing to stitch, edit and render the final video into a seamless immersive experience.

While the event itself is professionally recorded as part of our normal service, producing the 360° version is an additional production carried out afterwards.

Rather than charging each family or event organiser the full cost of creating a 360° video, we've chosen a different approach.

By offering access through a membership, the cost of producing these specialist videos is shared across the people who enjoy watching them. This allows us to continue building our growing library of immersive content while keeping membership affordable for viewers.

FAQs

  • Unlike a traditional video, a 360° recording allows you to choose where you look. You can explore the surroundings by dragging the video with your finger or mouse, or by moving your phone or tablet. Instead of the camera deciding what you see, you're in control.

  • No. You can watch 360° videos on any compatible smartphone, tablet, computer or Smart TV using the YouTube app or website. A VR headset simply provides an even more immersive experience.

  • Yes. Irish Livestream continues to produce standard video recordings as part of its normal service. Membership provides access to selected immersive 360° versions available through our sister channel, Inquisitive TV.

  • Creating a professional 360° video involves specialist equipment, additional editing, stitching, rendering and processing that goes well beyond a standard recording. Membership helps support the production of these immersive videos while making them affordable for viewers.

  • rish Livestream is where our standard recordings and livestreams are published.

    Our exclusive 360° Members Collection is currently hosted on Inquisitive TV, where YouTube Memberships are available. Both channels are owned and operated by the same team.

  • We aim to publish most 360° videos within 48 hours of the event. Occasionally, larger or more complex productions may take a little longer due to the additional processing and editing required.

  • Yes. YouTube Memberships are monthly subscriptions and can be cancelled at any time through your YouTube account. If you cancel, you'll continue to enjoy your membership benefits until the end of your current billing period.

  • Yes. If your Smart TV supports YouTube, you can watch compatible 360° videos there. You can also watch on phones, tablets and computers.

  • No. While we aim to produce as many immersive recordings as possible, not every event is suitable for 360° production. Availability depends on the venue, permissions, technical considerations and the equipment used on the day.

  • Yes. If a family or event organiser would like a 360° recording to be made publicly available rather than as part of the Members Collection, this can usually be arranged for an additional production fee. Please discuss this with your funeral director or contact us before the event.

  • Not every event is recorded in 360°, and some recordings may be delayed while they're being processed. If you're expecting a specific event and can't find it after a few days, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

  • If you have any questions about our recordings or the Members Collection, please contact Irish Livestream.

    For questions about billing, payments or managing your membership, YouTube provides support directly through your YouTube account.

  • Yes. As a member, you'll have access to our growing archive of eligible 360° videos, including many recordings produced before you joined, as well as new content added during your membership.

  • Yes. Whenever new events are recorded and produced in 360°, we'll add them to the Members Collection where permissions allow. Our library is continually growing, giving members even more to enjoy over time.

  • Absolutely. While many visitors first discover us through funeral and church recordings, the Members Collection may also include concerts, community events, festivals, schools (where permission has been granted), sporting occasions and many other interesting events captured in immersive 360°.

  • Your YouTube Membership is linked to your personal Google account and is intended for individual use. If other members of your family would like to enjoy the Members Collection on their own devices or accounts, they'll need their own membership.

  • If Irish Livestream was booked to both livestream the service and produce a 360° recording, we'll make it easy for you to find.

    Once the 360° version has been published, you'll find a direct link in the description of the standard funeral video on the Irish Livestream YouTube channel. The standard video is freely available to everyone, while the immersive 360° version is available to members.

    If you can't find the link, or if you believe a 360° version should be available but isn't listed, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'll be happy to help you locate the correct recording.

  • YouTube Memberships are completely flexible. There are no contracts and you're free to cancel at any time.

    If you cancel, you won't be charged again, and you'll continue to enjoy all of your membership benefits until the end of your current billing period. If you decide to return in the future, you're always welcome to join again.
